Carole Slaughter is busy marketing manager for Jarrold Retail – which includes Jarrold Department Store, The Forum Shop, Pilch Sport, and The Granary in Norwich, Jarrold branches in Wymondham and Cromer plus Hobbs Sports in Cambridge.
Kay Burt, Treasurer
Kay formed Kay Burt Investments in June 2007 to provide financial advice to high net worth clients with investment portfolios from £200,000 to several million pounds under management. Prior roles include being the Investment Strategist at Norwich Union Investment Management, responsible for all of their Managed Funds, and being a stockbroker for two firms, starting in 1986.
Anna Douglas, NBWN Website Co-ordinator
Anna is Director of Marketing and Development at Norfolk Community Foundation. She manages all aspects of marketing and communications and on the development side works closely with individual and corporate donors as well as professional advisors. She has previously worked at Birketts LLP, Aviva and Hays plc. In her spare time, she enjoys spinning, golf, Bikram Yoga and cycling.
Margaret Gotts, Secretary and lunch Co-ordinator
Margaret is Office Manager for Hansells Solicitors and Financial Advisers. Her role involves her in all aspects of the management and development of the practice. In her spare time she enjoys cinema, theatre, walking and gardening.
Diane Smith, Venue and Raffle co-ordinator
Diane joined the committee in the summer of 2014, an enthusiastic and experienced marketing executive Diane particularly enjoys her current role as an ambassador for Imagine Spa, Blofield Heath as this allows her to meet new people and generate new initiatives, whilst promoting this luxury day retreat Spa.
Pernille Rudlin, Speaker Co-ordinator
Pernille is Managing Director of Rudlin Consulting, which provides consulting and training to Japanese companies across Europe. She moved to Norwich recently and is loving the excellent Japanese restaurant, Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts & Cultures and cooking Japanese food from the market.
Deborah Cubbin, Social Media Co-ordinator
Deborah is a sales professional with 30 years’ experience of working in the hospitality industry. Since 2010, Deborah has been a self-employed Consultant working within a variety of local businesses and charities, which have required help in either redefining their sales strategy or market positioning. She is passionate about her adopted home city and encouraging local business partnerships. She enjoys spending time with her family, dog walking in North Norfolk and scuba diving.
Lottie Fletcher, Committee Member
Lottie is an associate solicitor in the corporate and banking team at Birketts LLP. Lottie has a particular interest in family- owned businesses and has regularly acted for businesses in this sector in relation to corporate governance, shareholder disputes and share acquisitions and disposals. In her spare time she enjoys going to the theatre, eating out and horse riding.
Hazel Allinson, Membership Co-ordinator
Hazel is a Chartered Financial Planner at Smith and Pinching where she provides holistic independent financial advice tailored to clients’ individual needs. In addition to NBWN, Hazel is a committee member of her local Woman’s Institute group and Vice Chairman of the Norfolk Regional Personal Finance Society. Hazel enjoys performing arts and in her spare time she sings in a church choir and dances with a local troupe.
Aimee Hogg, Committee Member
Aimee recently joined the NBWN committee. She is a Trainee Investment Manager at the Norwich branch of Charles Stanley, an Investment and Wealth Management firm. She joined having graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2013 and is now studying to pass the Chartered Wealth Manager exams.
