Mark Nicholas MBE, Show & Programmes Director joined us from the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association on what turned out to be a glorious lunch in the gardens of the St John’s Cathedral.

Retiring from the Army in 2015, after commanding Cambridge University Officers’ Training Corps, Mark has returned to Norfolk and is the Show and Programmes Director for the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association.

Mark gave an overview of his leadership approach following a 17 year career as an Army officer during which he deployed with the Royal Anglian Regiment to numerous trouble spots including Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.  Slides to follow soon!

Mark also gave members and guests an overview of the forthcoming Royal Norfolk Show and how the show continually aims to finds ways of engaging different audiences whilst remaining true to its roots as an agricultural show.  Essentially – whether you are interested in activities, rare breeds, the food hall or retail experience, there is something for everyone!  For more information on the show and to book tickets, click here.

As an added extra, Emma Nuule performed in the garden as guests arrived. Emma is known for her classical singing voice and started her training aged 10 at the central school of performing arts where she studied dancing, acting and singing, classical training in voice and musical theatre.
