Meet The Committee

Hazel Bowen, Chair

Hazel is a Chartered Financial Planner at Tilney Smith & Williamson. Hazel provides holistic financial planning and enjoys supporting clients through life transitions such as retirement, divorce and changes in financial circumstances. As well as being Chair of our Network, Hazel is Chair and Education Outreach Ambassador for the Norfolk Personal Finance Society. She is passionate about using her professional expertise for the good of society and delivers financial education in schools across the region. Away from her work, Hazel has many creative interests including music, dancing and cookery.


Sam Kimber, Membership Co-ordinator

Sam is a genealogist and probate researcher and runs her own business specialising in working with private client solicitors and charities in locating missing beneficiaries, identifying entitled relatives in intestacy matters and all other related tracing matters around the world. She also assists individuals in unlocking their own family history. Sam is very lucky in that her work is also one of her great interests but in her spare time she enjoys gardening, spending time with friends, going to concerts and the theatre, watching sport and attempting to run!



Andi Blackmore, Lunch Co-ordinator

Andi and her husband run their own business, Inspire Interactive Ltd, developing and delivering learning solutions. Andi has worked in the software industry since 1994, and she currently contracts as a Programme Manager for e-LfH Health Education England. Originally from Somerset, Andi settled in Norwich after living in London, Manchester and Yorkshire. She enjoys adventures and holidays with her husband and two teenage children, as well as yoga, music, theatre and reading.

Laura is a Solicitor at FM Family Law.  Laura advises a range of clients in all family matters to include divorce, child arrangement issues and financial matters arising from separation.  Laura grew up in the Norwich area and is happy to now be working in the centre of the city.  In her spare time, Laura loves to travel, cook and is a volunteer with the Norwich Soup Movement.


Diane SmithDiane Smith, Venue Co-ordinator

Diane is an enthusiastic and experienced marketing executive and particularly enjoys her current role as an ambassador for Imagine Spa, Blofield Heath as this allows her to meet new people and generate new initiatives, whilst promoting this luxury day retreat Spa. In her spare time, Diane likes to travel, enjoys walking in North Norfolk, finding new places to eat and going to the Theatre.


Carole Slaughter, Committee Member

Carole Slaughter is the Head of Fundraising at The Big C and is currently helping this Norfolk cancer charity raise £500,000 to create a new support and information centre in Norwich – the Nearer to Home Appeal. Carole is also a committee member of L.I.L.A.C (Ladies in League against Cancer) and chair of Hethersett Social Bowls Club.

Lottie is an associate solicitor in the corporate and banking team at Birketts LLP. Lottie has a particular interest in family- owned businesses and has regularly acted for businesses in this sector in relation to corporate governance, shareholder disputes and share acquisitions and disposals. In her spare time she enjoys going to the theatre, eating out and horse riding.



Aimee Hogg

Aimee Hogg, Committee Member

Aimee is an Investment Manager at the Norwich branch of Charles Stanley, an Investment and Wealth Management firm. She joined having graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2013 and now offers a personalised service to help people plan their finances and invest for their future. Outside of work, Aimee enjoys travelling, baking and yoga.




Jenny Woods

Jenny Woods, Committee Ambassador

Jenny Woods is our travel guru and runs her own small travel company from her home on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. She is passionate about travel, her home city of Norwich and about supporting NBWN. She recently joined us as Committee Ambassador and is responsible for looking after guests and new members at our lunches. When she is not travelling she enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the North Norfolk & Suffolk Coast, pottering around in her garden, yoga and pilates.


Lauren Toynton, Treasurer

Lauren is an Associate Solicitor in the Norwich Commercial Property Department at Isadore Goldman. Lauren advises on a range of areas including freehold/leasehold sales and acquisitions, commercial leases, option agreements and overage. Lauren also provides property support to her commercial/corporate and insolvency colleagues. In her spare time, Lauren likes to make the most of living in Norwich (in particular, exploring the food scene!).
